Green Filing offers attorneys a user-friendly option as select Indiana Superior Courts move to mandatory electronic filing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Richmond, Indiana (November 19, 2015) – The Indiana Supreme Court has certified Green Filing, headquartered in Richmond, Indiana, as an e-filing service provider. As a result, the power of choice has been granted to Indiana attorneys and residents filing documents in Indiana trial and appellate courts. Filers may now choose to e-file with Green Filing’s enhanced services or use the Court’s basic e-filing portal.

Green Filing’s easy, single screen, e-filing solution takes the complexity out of the electronic filing process, and by providing 24 / 7 devoted support by email, phone, and live online chat filers can rest at ease knowing they’ll get the help they need. Other features include email notification of accepted filings with file stamped documents attached, serve-only filing, detailed filing activity reports, and case activity summaries.

“We are very happy to be able to provide what we believe is the easiest e-filing solution to Indiana, just as we have in Utah and Texas!”, said Eric Eastman, Green Filing’s co-founder over-seeing technical development. “We really encourage Indiana filers to take advantage of our free trial periods to experience the difference Green Filing can make.”

Just in time for the Courts’ expansion of e-filing to the Indiana Appellate Courts, any potential filer may now choose Green Filing as their e-filing service provider, and as the Indiana trial courts continue to expand e-filing across the state, county by county, Green Filing will remain a choice for new Indiana filers. Appellate Courts IT Director Robert Rath explained, “E-file Indiana offers a marketplace for independent e-filing service providers to offer a variety of features and services. Green Filing brings the first alternative service to Indiana filers—an important milestone for Indiana attorneys and litigants.”

“We have scheduled several free e-filing training webinars over the coming weeks and months, and look forward to hosting Indiana filers to remove the guesswork from the filing process.” said George Knecht, Green Filing’s co-founder in charge of new business development and training. Indiana filers can sign up for those webinars online by visiting www.greenfiling.com/indiana.

“We are also excited to offer Indiana filers our new ‘concierge filing service’ in an effort to help ease their transition to e-filing.”, said George Knecht. “The service will allow filers to pay Green Filing a flat service fee to e-file their pleading for them, until they become comfortable with e-filing on their own, which with our product we believe will be a very short time period.”

Green Filing has been providing e-filing services to attorneys and residents in the state of Utah since 2010, and in the state of Texas since early 2015. More than 5,000 users have submitted over 2.8 million documents through Green Filing for filing in the appropriate court. Green Filing is proud to have found its roots in Indiana, where it opened its office at The Innovation Center in downtown Richmond.

Jason Whitney, Program Manager for Launch Indiana and past Executive Director at the Richmond Innovation Center, commented that “It’s really exciting to see one of the original tenants from the Richmond Innovation Center bringing their innovative service to Indiana. Their national experience will help to transform the court filing system in Indiana.”
